BHM: Ronda Racha Penrice and OOOG Brand

Day 1 Radio is kicking off Black History Month by welcoming the author of ‘African American History for Dummies’ Ronda Racha Penrice. Ronda spoke about the importance of BHM, her path as a journalist, and she shared a few books that we should all have in our personal libraries. In addition to writing books, Ronda also writes about and works in the film business so she shared her thoughts on the Oscar controversy and Nate Parker’s record Sundance success for his film ‘Birth of a Nation.’ We also began what we hope to be a series of spotlighting small business with Street Lotto, the owner of OOOG Brand. Lotto took what was a promo idea and in less than two years has turned it into a growing clothing line.
